Our Regular Lineup

We do things a little different at Big Al's and it shows with our 5 regularly available ales; a traditional irish red, a chocolatey smoked porter, a session pale ale, a hearty West Coast-style IPA, and an amber brewed to pair with pizza.

Irish Red: Sweet, caramel, roasty red lovefest Big Al style!
Ingredients: Malt = Pale, ESB, 10L, 20L, 80L, Malted Wheat, Black Barley.
Hops = Nugget.
Yeast = Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Specs: ABV = 6.0% O.G. = 1.054/13.2P IBU = 18

Smoked Porter: Full bodied roasty black malt flavors with a smokey peated malt finish.
Ingredients: Malt = Pale, Crystal 80L, Chocolate, Roasted Barley, Peated Malt.
Hops = Columbus and Hallertauer MF.
Yeast = Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Specs: ABV = 5.8% O.G. = 1.054/13.4P IBU = 44

Papa Charlie's Pale Ale: A clean, enjoyable NW-style Pale Ale with herbal, spicy, and citrus-fruit hop flavors. Named in honor of Charles McElevy, the man who brought Craft Brewing to White Center.
Ingredients: Malt = Pale, Crystal 80L, Victory.
Hops = Nugget, Sterling, and Cascade.
Yeast = Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Specs: ABV = 4.2% O.G. = 1.047/11.7P IBU = 39

India Pale Ale: Nugget, Cascade, and Fuggle provide bitterness, assertive citrus fruit and earthy hop flavors, and the long lip smacking finish to this delicious IPA.
Ingredients: Malt = Pale, Crystal 40L, Malted Wheat.
Hops = Nugget, Cascade, and Fuggle.
Yeast = Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Specs: ABV = 7.3% O.G. = 1.064/15.7P IBU = 80

Tutta Bella Amber Ale: Developed by Tutta Bella's Executive Chef Brian Gojdics and Big Al Brewing's Head Brewer Alejandro Brown to be paired with Tutta Bella's unique Neapolitan Pizza. A malty amber ale balanced by an assertive hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma with a faint roasty character create the perfect beer to be enjoyed with their fine wood fired pizza.
Ingredients: Malt = ESB, Crystal 20L & 80L, Malted Wheat, Flaked Barley, Black Barley.
Hops = Chinook, Fuggle, Cascade, and Sterling.
Yeast = Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Specs: ABV = 5.7% O.G. = 1.051/12.6P IBU = 39

Current Seasonal Releases

Big Al Abbey Wheat - The beer we opened the brewery with is back for a limited time. A hybrid ale combining the smooth, refreshing character of wheat beer with the fruit and spice flavors of Belgian-style ales. This beer is full of subtle flavors and easy to drink.

Big Al Tripel - A pale golden Belgian-style Strong Ale featuring the warm spicy flavors of Belgian yeast complimented by a crisp, light peppery-rye finish.

Big Al Summer Lager - A classic Munich-style Helles. A light, refreshing lager with subtle malt sweetness and mild hop flavor. Brewed crisp and quenching with those hot and dry Summer days in mind.

Big Al Brougham Bitter - Emerald City Supporters is the largest soccer supporters club in Seattle. They’re at every Major League Soccer event at Qwest Field, on their feet in the south end, the Brougham End, pouring their hearts out cheering for the local team. ECS combines a passion for soccer and community in the same way that Big Al Brewing combines a passion for beer, brewing, and community. Brougham Bitter is a beer inspired by that passion. English-style Pale and Crystal malts combined with aromatic, floral English Hops create a smooth, balanced medium-bodied beer for soccer fans, beer fans, and good times everywhere.

Local Hero

A quarterly rotating seasonal based on a local home brewers recipe. Big Al will be coordinating with organizers of local home brew competitions to select worthy candidates from the Best of Show beers in each participating competition. Keg Pricing and Policy

Pricing:
13.2 Gallon Kegs $135
1/6 Barrel (5.16 Gallon) Keg $65
5 Gallon Corny Fill $55 - Please allow at least a 24 hour turnaround.
Keg Deposit $45, Tap Deposit $40

Policy - There is no charge for renting our kegs and taps; however, we do require a deposit (cash, check, or credit card) of $40 for each tap and $45 for each keg. Kegs/Taps must be returned within 7 days unless you have a kegerator in which case we expect you?ll have the beer for a few weeks. All we ask is you just give us a call and we'll extend your free rental period. After 7 days is up, we will process your deposit (i.e. cash your check). If you bring back the keg and tap in good working order at a later date, we'll gladly buy them back from you for the same dollar amount of your original deposit.
